4 to 20 mA Humidity Probe
Loop powered probe for measuring the humidity of air or non-agressive gasses. 2 wire, 4 to 20 mA outputs signal.
The RHB humidity probe from Comeco measures relative humidity of air and non-aggressive gases at atmospheric pressure, and transforms it into standard 4 to 20 mA 2-wire signal. Main features of the RHB transducer are the very fast response time and the short recovery time, which allows better control system parameters, as well as the reduced accuracy influence of the mounting capacitances. The probe has a cable outlet and can be equipped with a stainless steel sintered filter for sensor protection. Thanks to its simple and robust design and low price, the RHB probe can be widely used in HVAC storage control systems as well as for some food industry applications.
Please note - in situations of high humidity (>90%) condensation on the sensor surface can occur which will severely affect the accuracy of readings. If this does occur the probes will work again normally after room temperature drying.
It is recommended in high humidity situations the Sintered Filter option be used. See part no. CMS-101.
Even with a sintered filter, if RHB probes are operated over long periods of time (weeks) at 99% RH with condensation, the customer must take care to remove the filter and to dry the sensor occasionally.
If this is unacceptable then it will be necessary to use the “DRY-WET BULB” method (see our RHU model).
