The new Davis Vantage Vue weather station combines Davis' legendary accuracy and rugged durability into a compact station that's easy to set up and use. Vantage Vue includes a sleek but tough outdoor sensor array and a distinctive LCD console.
Its unique Weather Centre function provides additional information on each weather variable. In addition, Davis has made Vantage Vue radio-compatible with our flagship Vantage Pro2 professional stations so you can mix-and-match most components.
Vantage Vue gives you all the weather data you need for home use, education, boating and more. Sleek but tough—your outdoor sensor suite sets up in minutes and starts sending data wirelessly to your console anywhere in your home, school, or business. You'll see current weather conditions, including indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity, barometric pressure, wind speed and direction, dew point and rainfall.
These are the official Australian version - unlike the some other distributors of Davis gear, weather station gear purchased through us have their radios set to frequencies that are legal in Australia, and come with an Australian plugpack with the slightly odd connector to suit the console.

Installs easily and quickly with included mounting hardware kit. Wireless link between integrated sensor suite (ISS) and display console. Frequency-hopping spread spectrum radio ensures consistent transmission up to 300 m (1,000') from ISS to console. The ISS has a built-in solar panel that charges the station during the day. On-board super capacitor provides power at night. Lithium battery provides backup when needed.
A built-in bubble spirit level makes it easy to mount the ISS level and ensure accurate measurements.
Davis's reputation for high-quality, robust weather stations continues with the Vantage Vue. The sensor suite's corrosion-resistant cover provides durability in extreme conditions. Its electronics are potted or over-moulded for added moisture shielding.
Temperature and humidity sensors are protected by a radiation shield that provides excellent protection from solar radiation and other sources of radiated and reflected heat.
The weather station features indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity sensors. The ISS provides outside temperature readings from -40 to 65 °C (-40 to 150 °F). Outdoor sensors contained in radiation shield for optimum accuracy. Also measures relative humidity from 0 to 100%.
The console updates outside temperature every 10 seconds and inside temperature every minute. In addition, outside humidity updates every 50 seconds and inside humidity every minute.
Flexible display options allow you to see updated variables every 10 seconds for heat index and wind chill to get a better "feel" for the outside environment.
A five-position trend arrow shows whether barometric pressure is rising, falling, or stable.
The rain collector reports rain rate and rain totals. A self-emptying tipping spoon measures rain with .01" or 0.2 mm resolution.
The console updates rain totals and rain rate every 20 seconds for the last 25 hours, days, months.
The Vantage Vue records wind speeds from its anemometer as low as 3 km/h (2 mph) and as high as 241 km/h (150 mph). The wind speed display updates every 2.5 seconds. The console can display wind speed in knots, meters per second, kilometers per hour and miles per hour. It also records and displays the average and high wind speed for two-minute and ten-minute intervals.
Wind direction is measured and can be displayed in compass points or degrees.
Time & Date Functions and Forecasting
The console can display the current time and date or time of sunrise/sunset. The moon phase is shown in eight phases from new to full.
A "change in weather since yesterday" feature allows comparisons of changes of temperature and barometric pressure from day to day. Data point on the graph indicates the weather during the same time yesterday to help compare and analyse day-to-day weather trends.
Icons let you know to expect sun, part sun, clouds, rain, or snow.
A Weather Centre feature provides additional information for each weather variable, such as daily highs and lows, temperature changes by the hour and barometric value changes. The system can also display astronomical data such as meteor showers.
Domed buttons are easy to sense and press. Glow-in-the-dark keypad buttons give you access to weather information all day and all night. The Done key returns user to "current" screen from anywhere in the program.
The console can graph the last 25 hours, days or months. View up to 50 graphs including temperature, rain, rain rate, wind and barometric pressure—all on the console.
You can set 22 simultaneous, different alarms to warn of dangers such as high winds, freezing temperatures, rain rate, flood warning, and more.
The main console can retransmit the wireless signal to extend range to additional consoles up to 300 m (1,000').
Compared to the Vantage Pro2:
The Vantage Vue is capable of most of the weather monitoring done by the Vantage Pro2 weather stations. The Vantage Pro2 series can additionally interface with additional wireless temperature, wireless temperature and humidity and leaf wetness, soil moisture and temperature stations. The Vantage Pro2 Plus stations include solar radiation and UV sensors for measuring values like UV index and evaporation.
