DM556E Anti-Resonance Stepper Motor Drive
DM556E fully digital microstepping stepper motor driver with anti-resonance tuning. Automatic or computer-driven tuning. 18 to 50 VDC powered with output current up to 5.6 A peak.
The DM556E is a digital stepper drive with simple design and easy setup. By implementing Leadshine advanced stepper control technology, this stepper drive is able to power 2-phase and 4 phase stepper motors smoothly with optimal torque and low motor heating & noise. Its operating voltage is 20-50VDC and it can output up to 5.6A current.
All the micro step and output current are done via DIP switches. Therefore, the DM556E are ideal choices for applications requiring simple step & direction control of NEMA 23, 24 and 34 stepper motors.
Without fine tuning, the drive will run at least as well as a pure-sinusoidal driver. To tune the driver further than the automatic tuning, you will also require the LSK-002 programming cable.
Features:
- Anti-Resonance for optimal torque, extra smooth motion, low motor heating and noise
- Auto-tuning to match wide-range NEMA 23 and 24 stepper motors
- 200 KHz max pulse input frequency
- 16 microstep resolutions of 200-51,200 via DIP switches
- TTL compatible and optically isolated inputs with 5V or 24V
- Over-voltage and over-current
- Step & direction (PUL/DIR) control
- 8 output current settings of 1.8-5.6A via DIP Switches
- Idle current reduction to 50% or 90% selection via SW4
- Soft-start with no “jump” when powered on
- Fault output
