SW5501 Wireless Serial Device Server
SW5501 is an industrial serial device server that enables any device with 1 serial port (RS-232/422/485) to communicate wirelessly over an IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n network. Packed in an IP50 rugged metal housing with DIN rail mountable case. It is 9 to 48 VDC powered and has 4.5 W power consumption.
The industrial SW5500 series is compact, rugged (IP50) and cost effective industrial-grade wireless device servers. This series is designed for wireless communication over the IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n network with any device that has a serial interface (RS-232/422/485).
With support for the latest n standard and operation on either the 2.4GHz or 5GHz band, the SW5500 series offer superior signal strength and the flexibility required to achieve excellent wireless performance.
The model SW5501 features 1 DB9 serial port (RS-232/422/485) interface. It comes with dual antenna design which offers better wireless cover safe and reduces wireless blind spots
By encapsulating serial data and transporting it over Wireless LAN or for security requirements by WEP or WPA2-PSK compatiable (supported TKIP/AES encryption). SW5001 offers full-duplex, bi-directional data transmission transparent between serial port and Wireless LAN.
In industrial and manufacturing automation fields, SW5500 series is used as a field device to connect the Ethernet through TCP/IPv4 protocol directly. It is also specially designed for conjunction with PLCs, HMIs, Barcode Scanners, Data Terminals, Electronic Kanbans, Shop Floor Control Systems, and Pick-to-Light Systems.
This unit is the replacement product of the end-of-life SW5001, which we've currently put the last two units on clearance for a quick sale. This unit has a 5 yr warranty

Faulty Goods and Warranty
Where such goods have been supplied we undertake to repair or replace them as quickly as possible.Prior to returning faulty items, please contact us with a description of the fault as one of our engineers might be able to assist you by resolving the issue over the phone.
A Warranty form must be filled out and returned with any goods.
Our standard warranty period is 12 months from the date of purchase unless stated otherwise.

Warranty is subject to us being satisfied that a defect was caused by defective workmanship or materials and was not caused by or was not substantially contributed to by other factors beyond our control including incorrect installation, alterations or modifications of the product not recommended by the manufacturer.
Returns Policy
If you are dissatisfied with our goods you may return them within 14 days of the dispatch date. Contact us for an authorisation and we will refund your purchase less shipping costs and restocking fees. All returned goods MUST be in AS NEW condition including ALL PACKAGING and DOCUMENTATION / MANUALS etc.
Please note:
- The product returned will attract a 20% restocking fee.
- The customer must pay the delivery costs.
- Non standard, custom made or a specially manufactured or imported products are not returnable.
- Semiconductors, books and software are not refundable
