The 3onedata Model 277-S-SC-20KM serial fiber converter provides a cost effective plug-and-play solution for long-range serial extensions. These converters are ultra-miniature in size and feature pluggable screw terminals for serial interfaces and SC style fiber-optic connections.
The Model 277 Series incorporates a method for automatically detecting the serial signal baud rate by hardware. This is an extremely convenient feature for the user. Even if a device's baud rate is changed, the signal will still be transmitted through the RS-232 or RS-422/485 to fiber converter without any problem. The converter also automatically converts between the half duplex RS-485 and full duplex RS-232 and RS-422 interfaces.
This product is a single converter. Two are required to create an end-to-end link.
