The Industrial Serial Server SE5002 is a 2 port gateway for Ethernet (TCP/IP) and serial signal communications. It allows almost any serial device to be connected to a new or existing Ethernet network.

By encapsulating serial data and transporting it over Ethernet, SE5002 offers full-duplex and bi-directional data that is transmission transparent between the serial port and the Ethernet network.

Flexible configuration options enable this unit to be setup over Ethernet by Telnet, Web browser, Serial Console, or a downloadable Windows utility. Packed in a rugged metal housing for wall or DIN-Rail mount with 5 VDC or 9 to 30 VDC wide power input range.

ATOP Virtual COM software provides existing Windows based application to access serial device by mapping the Virtual COM port to a remote serial server via Ethernet. Windows software works with XP, Vista and 7. TTYredirector software is downloadable from ATOP for 32 bit and 64 bit, x86 Linux.

In industrial and manufacturing automation fields, SE5002 is used as a field device to connect the Ethernet through TCP/IP protocol directly. It is also specially designed for conjunction with PLCs, HMIs, Barcode Scanners, Data Terminals, Electronic Kanbans, Shop Floor Control Systems, and Pick-to-Light Systems.

Condition required Items must be unused and in original packaging, including all documentation and manuals.

Restocking fee A 20% restocking fee applies to all accepted returns. Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility.

How to make a warranty claim Before returning anything, please contact us. Our engineers can often resolve the issue remotely. If a return is required, our team will provide you with a warranty form to include with the goods. 

What's covered Defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and correct installation.

What's not covered The warranty does not cover damage or failures caused by factors outside our control, including incorrect installation, unauthorised alterations or modifications, or any installation or use not recommended by the manufacturer.

Standard warranty All products carry a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase unless stated otherwise.
