AXBB-E Ethernet Motion Controller And Breakout Board Combined Controller
Combine Ethernet Motion Controller and Breakout Board in a single module. Can control up to 6-axes with Mach3, Mach4 or UCCNC software with onboard I/Os. Up to 400kHz step frequency. The controller can be connected to an additional Breakout Board to extend the number of I/Os.
Note: The AXBB-E requires 2x power supplies - 1x 5VDC and 1x 12-24VDC.
The AXBB-E is an Ethernet Motion Controller and Breakout Board combination module. It can communicate with a computer via Ethernet direct connection or via a router or network switch.
The controller can be used to control machine tools with stepper or servo motor controls using step and direction signals and has a maximum stepping frequency of 400kHz. The controller can control up to 6 axes. Althought there are only 8 dedicated step and directions signals wired out on the board (which supports up to 4 axes), the I/Os on the software side are freely configurable to any pins - making it possible to use all 6 axes if required.
For the I/Os, the controller includes:
- 8x non-isolated outputs to be used as step and direction signals.
- 8x isolated outputs to drive relays, laser controller or any device that require isolation. 24VDC capable
- 6x isolated inputs for sensors, switches and pushbuttons. 24VDC capable.
- 1x safety charge pump circuit with isolated output.
- 2x analog input channels which can work with externally connected potentiometer (recommended full scale resistance 1k - 10kΩ). These signals can be used to control feedrate override and spindle speed ovveride in the software.
- 1x analog output channel with 0-5V or 0-10V (jumper selectable). This signal can be used to control speed of spindle motor with a VFD
- 1x IDC26 female port which can be used to connect additional Parallel Port compatible breakout board to extend the number of I/Os.
Important: The AXBB-E requires 2x power supplies:
- 1x 5VDC (at least 500mA) digital power supply for internal logic, the non-isolated I/Os, analog ports and IDC26 extention port
- 1x 12-24VDC power supply for external devices and components connected to isolated I/Os.
- 2x Power supplies: 5V 500mA + 12-24V.
- Isolated I/Os are 24VDC capable.
- 8x optically isolated high speed N-channel power mosfet transistor outputs. Maximum 500mA at 10Mbit/s.
- 8x non-isolated buffered TTL outputs for step/dir signals, laser driver etc. Maximum 20mA with 0/5V voltage level.
- 6 high speed optoisolator inputs. Accepts 10-30V input with internal series 2.2kΩ resistor. Max speed 10Mbit/s.
- Isolated charge pump output with power N-channel mosfet transistor.
- 1 IDC26 non-isolated extension port with standard Parallel Port pinout (12 outputs and 5 inputs).
- LED indicators.
